This means guaranteeing that the final products and services can be used by all, without the need for adaptation or special design. This takes many forms in everyday life. Here are some concrete examples :  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A shuttle that isn\u2019t wheelchair-accessible is keeping Gertrude from getting around efficiently in a nature park.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A conference room without a hearing assistance system is compromising the ability of In\u00e8s, the journalist covering the event, to understand what is being said.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The paths of a new urban park are keeping Sallia from walking comfortably with her crutches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A software program not compatible with a screen reader is preventing Damien from working as a technician in public service.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A redesigned bus platform makes Katarina nervous at the idea of crossing an unsafe bike path.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-adjustable office furniture is forcing Omar to wait several weeks for an adapted desk, leading to a significant loss of productivity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A touch-screen payment terminal restricts Roger\u2019s abililty to function independently whenever he rents skis at a municipal sports centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These examples show that adjustments for accessibility involve substantial costs that could have been avoided. This is why organizations should take accessibility into account at each step of the procurement process. Some of these frameworks are mandatory, while others inspire to go beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\r\n<div class=\"accordions-block\">\r\n                    <div class=\"accordion\" data-aos=\"fade-up\">\r\n            <h3 class=\"accordion-title\">\r\n                <a class=\"accordion-link\" role=\"button\" href=\"#panel-canadas-directive-on-the-management-of-procurement-1\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"panel-canadas-directive-on-the-management-of-procurement-1\">Canada\u2019s Directive on the Management of Procurement<\/a>\r\n            <\/h3>\r\n\r\n            <div class=\"accordion-panel\" id=\"panel-canadas-directive-on-the-management-of-procurement-1\" style=\"display: none;\">\r\n\t\t\t\t<p>Under the Accessible Canada Act, the Government of Canada imposes accessibility requirements in the Directive on the Management of Procurement <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tbs-sct.canada.ca\/pol\/doc-fra.aspx?id=32692\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Directive sur la gestion de l\u2019approvisionnement<\/a> (section 4.2.7).
